You Better Work

I started my actual internship finally!
I am working at Cooking Classes in Rome!
I, along with the chef and other interns (on some nights), teach tourists how to cook traditional Roman cuisine!
Here is the kitchen and dining area

The menu changes with the seasons so whatever veggie is seasonal is what we use! The menu is always changing and evolving to fit the clients' needs.
Tonight I finally took some pictures and these are the things we made.
Roman style artichokes:

Handmade cavatelli pasta with Roman broccoli and prosciutto sausages:

Meatballs in a fresh tomato sauce:

And finally, tiramisu:

Some other fun things I did!!!!
Went to mass with a bunch of Texans thanks to Father Daniel, my friend Katy Christy's priest at her university!

Here's the cutest wine shop I went into the other day.

I thought it was funny that they had these two very differently priced wines next to each other.

Here is the amazing view from my balcony

Here are just some random pictures I've taken while walking around!

There was a cool protest!

And I ran into Father Edwin, a priest I know from back in Dallas while I was running errands! Such a small world!

And of course, Mrs. Lowry, as requested, here is the amazing cat sanctuary!
So to anyone who doesn't know, there are tons of ruins in Rome, of course.
Well there's a little area full of ruins of an old Roman market and they have turned it into a sanctuary for homeless cats! People can go there and adopt cats from the sanctuary or just stare at cats, which I like to do!!
(I spy two cats in each of the next two pictures)

Oh yeah, James Bond was filming here so I felt like I had to go watch. Here is an extremely great quality picture for your viewing pleasure! His Aston Martin is somewhere in that picture, I swear.

Ciao, alla prossima (until next time)!!!!
