Touristy!!!

With a mere two weeks-ish left in Rome, I became very worried that I wasn't going to see everything, that I've spent this last week going everywhere!
Dozens and dozens of basilicas, lots of ruins, and of course, trying new places to eat!

I leave in 15 minutes to go to Sicily, so I have to keep this brief, but don't fear, there are lots of pictures!

If you are ever in Rome, you must try this gelato place!
They had a chocolate fountain and they would pour chocolate in the cone first so that your last bite was hot, gooey chocolate!
It's called Come Il Latte!

I took my new roommates to go to a mass at St. Peter's Basilica.
And who was our presider? Oh, just a cardinal!!

I took a day trip to Assisi!
I was blown away by the beauty and since my patron saint is St. Clare, I felt a very strong connection to this place!
I even climbed up to the mountain where St. Francis had his grotto and would go pray!

One of my roommates doesn't cook, so I've been showing her the ropes and we've been enjoying the nice meal on our beautiful balcony!

This is in a section called EUR.
Mussolini had this city built for the worlds fair to show off Italy's new fascist reign, but unfortunately, he never got to show it off because of WWII

My roommates also wanted to see the pope, so I happily obliged!

I don't know how it took me so long to come here.
St. Paul Outside the Walls quickly became my favorite basilica in Rome, sorry St. Peter's!!!

St. Paul's tomb!
Also, the chain above is what he came to Rome chained with.

I mean... It's GORGEOUS!

Feeling like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Adventure!

Sorry I kept that so brief! I hope you enjoyed looking at some of the pictures I took!
I'm off to Sicily for four days of cannoli and the beach!
Ciao!
